Despite being founded not long ago, GONTELO is made up of a team of enterprising, dynamic people who have ample experience in purchasing, processing and distributing high quality fresh fish and shellfish throughout Spain.
We are a Galician company and we are focused on well-known, premium quality Galician products. Our concern is to offer our customers the very best. Shellfish gathered using traditional methods are our specialty, such as, goose barnacle, spider crab, velvet crab or clam. Besides we also provide coastal fish and farmed fish (turbot, sea bass).
We understand the importance of global food demand and over-exploitation of fishing resources. For this reason, in Gontelo we are committed to responsible fishing and to sustainability of the fishing stocks. We work closely with our suppliers so that captures respect closed areas, minimum sizes, and fishing quotas, avoiding, in this way, poaching.
We want to promote a responsible trade, protecting the marine environment, ensuring that the sea continues to be a renewable resource.
With these objectives in mind, we deliver seafood throughout Spain.
